upholstery-cleaningAre you looking to have your upholstery cleaned? If so, you need to be careful about which Moody upholstery cleaning company that you use. Just about every company will offer upholstery cleaning but most of them do not know how to properly do it. This leads to a lot of improperly cleaned and often ruined upholstery. At Cross Country, our technicians are upholstery cleaning experts and we have the skills and the patience to do the job right. This means taking the time to first inspect a piece before any cleaning is done. This allows us to determine what the upholstery is made of, how it is constructed and just how heavily soiled it is. Only then can the proper cleaning method be chosen. Most of the time this is steam cleaning but some times it is another method like shampoo cleaning or a solvent based cleaning.

Upholstery Cleaning Process

  • Step One
Like I just mentioned, the first step in any upholstery cleaning job is an inspection. We will take a sample of the material to determine the content, will look at the construction of the material, will test the dye for stability and assess the level of soiling. We then take all of this into consideration to choose the best method.
  • Step Two
After we determine the right method, we begin the job by dry vacuuming your furniture to remove loose dry soil. We also clean out all of the cracks and crevices which tend to collect all sorts of things. Don’t worry, wee return the pocket change.
  • Step Three
Next we apply the appropriate cleaning solution, chosen during the inspection and allow it to dwell or agitate it.
  • Step Four
Finally, we extract the solution using low moisture upholstery cleaning tools. This leaves your carpet just damp to the touch and ready for use in just a few hours most of the time.
  • Step Five
Lastly, we position your furniture and cushions in the best position for drying and invite you to inspect it.
